This service may be suitable if you:

• Are women with any of the signs above
• Are within the eligible age range (confirmed at consultation)

This isn’t suitable for men, children, pregnant women, or symptoms suggesting a more complicated infection (such as fever, back or flank pain, or blood in the urine) — these need GP assessment.

UTI symptoms are assessed case by case, and eligibility for this consultation depends on ruling out a more complicated infection.

Your pharmacist will assess your individual suitability, including your relevant medical history and current symptoms, before proceeding. 

This consultation is for uncomplicated UTI symptoms in eligible women only. 

Fever, back or flank pain, blood in the urine, or pregnancy all need GP or urgent medical assessment instead. 

Ask your pharmacist for the relevant Consumer Medicines Information (CMI) if a medicine is provided.
