• Have an acute, minor wound like the ones above
• Your wound is clean and not showing signs of infection

This isn’t suitable for deep, heavily bleeding, infected, or complex wounds, or wounds needing stitches — these need urgent medical or surgical treatment.

Wound assessments are made case by case, and product recommendations depend on the size, depth, and cause of the wound.

This consultation is for assessment and product advice for acute, minor wounds only; it does not include wound treatment or dressing application. 

Deep, heavily bleeding, infected, or complex wounds need urgent medical or surgical treatment.

Before Your Consultation

Be prepared to discuss:

• How the wound occurred and when
• Whether you’ve noticed any signs of infection
• Any medicines you are currently taking

During Your Consultation

Your pharmacist will assess your wound and discuss the best options for caring for it at home.

The consultation may also include product recommendations for dressings and after-care, or a referral if the wound is outside scope.
